Man defied the gods
In hurry he left
For his new found land
As the trees looked at him
It was the new found freedom
Perhaps it shocks
But that was the greatest mistake
When I awake I see it in me
The same disease
The deception constantly preying on me in my mind
How can I say it to myself?
I also ran away from the river and the trees
Hoping to live by freedom
Until it turned into free-doom
Soon death came from behind
Taking my father and then my mother
As I glanced at the corpse lying by the dark forest
I’d rather stay by the river and the trees
To provide fruits and leaves
Branches so that the gods might sing their hymns
Eventually this comes at a price
I hadn’t finished telling her this when she went
I hope she sees
Pain is the lot
The burden to carry for having defied the gods
