Tonight, I looked up at the night sky. What I noticed tonight that I hadn’t any other, was that the stars were finally in an effort to make a scene. And for someone who grew up in the rurals, here we hoped to glimpse Venus amongst the dark.

Tonight, I looked up at the night sky. What I noticed was the stars were bright tonight. Like little sparkles on a dark canvas, if you ignored what surrounded, the night absorbed you as twinkles flushed your iris, took you over as lights flashed here, there, everywhere. And in those seconds, those refined seconds, you’d already wish to relive it. Because beauty only flourishes for those unpredictable, unprecedented seconds before it starts to lose its vigor and everything around you, the buildings, the cars, the lights, starts to reel you back into reality.

Tonight, I looked up at the night sky. What I noticed was serenity. And in no moments discern, I remembered the dreams I promised I’d accomplish before I grew too old to try. My life dry in deny as I quietly wished to ascend amidst the stars. The fiery of the night gave reason to pry, silence was the greatest cry. We look up to dream, immaculate. The dreams of good and why. The night sky, the night sky, a canvas waiting to be painted. Should we all take the time to see? Would we be proven wrong? What would it take to draw in repartee? The stars our paint and tools, our guide, the journey to making up for the life we’d once denied. Because the sky fights to put on a good show. To inspire. To awe struck. To convey upon us that hope can lie within the recesses of the seemingly finite spaces of absolute infinity.

Tonight, I looked up at the night sky. And I’m glad I did.
