Excuse me Sir
I couldn't help but notice you and the way the ceiling tips its hat
whenever you walk by
I'm no good at introductions but
"my name's hopeless, how are you?"
I think its best to avoid the subject of speaking
lets talk about something else

not that I feel nondescript
but I sure as hell don't feel fine
and not that I mind the loneliness
but if you know me at all thats a lie

Sometimes I thought to myself
that you don't remind me of the winter
or remind me of the cold
you just remind me of those quiet nights
then I just want you here to hold
I hope this sound isn't getting old

not that I feel nondescript
but I sure as hell don't feel fine
and not that I mind the loneliness
but if you know me at all thats a lie
