~~ It was a sweet fall/autumn day. Quiet. Too quiet. Bridget sat on the front porch swing holding her acoustic guitar barely picking it. Ring.. Ring.. Her phone went. "Hello," Bridget said over the receiver. "Hey Bridget it's me Wayne. Hey are you doing anything tonight?" He asked her. "No why what's up," She responded to his question. "Well I just thought maybe you would want to hang out with me and Jerry," He said on the other end of the receiver. "Sound's good I'll be there at 5:30," she said. "Well in that case I will see you in 5 minuted considering it's now 5:25," Wayne said and then hung up his phone. Bridget had put her phone into her jeans pocket and had put her guitar away. Two minutes later she left to go to Wayne's house. "Hey Bridget what's up?" Jerry said as he came up to her. "Nothing much. So what do you guys want to do?" She asked both Jerry and Wayne. "I thought we could grab some pizza and go to that old cabin alongside the river." Jerry suggested. "What cabin alongside the river?" Wayne asked Jerry. "Oh he's talking about my late uncle Larry's old cabin," she said. "Oh wait I know what you're talk about now. Heck me and my dad used to go fishin out on that lake." Wayne finally finished. "So what are we waiting for let's go," Bridget said with enthusiasm. "Come on I'll drive," She said getting into her car. Jerry and Wayne raced to see who got passenger seat. Jerry won. It took 1 minute to get to Pizza Street. "Okay guys wait here." Bridget said as she shut the door behind her. She quickly opened the door to ask the guy's what they wanted. "Cheese pizza," Wayne said. "Sausage with anchovies," Jerry said. "Yuck," Wayne expressed. "What it's good. Especially for the tummy," Jerry said licking his lips and rubbing his stomach. Bridget rolled her eyes as she shut the car door. Five minutes later Bridget came out with three pizza's, wings, and mountain dew. "Okay let's rock and roll," After a 15 minute car ride Bridget finally made it to the cabin. "Wow," Bridget said as she got out of the car. "I know. It's spooky," Jerry said with his eyes wide. "Oh come on guys it's not that bad," Wayne said. As they walked up to the front porch the front door swung wide open. "Please say the wind swung the door open," Jerry said hestitating. "No, no it was a ghost trying to scare you. Dude you are the scaredest person I've ever met." Wayne said making fun of Jerry. "Come on you two fraddy cats let's go in and eat this pizza," Bridget said walking inside. Jerry being the scardy cat he is, had walked slowly keeping both eyes pealed. He eventually made it inside the cabin where he bumped into Wayne. Wayne and Bridget had burst into laughter. "I never seen a seventeen year old skinny boy be afraid the way you are," Bridget said with a great big grin on her face. Wayne was covering his mouth so Jerry wouldn't see Wayne laugh. "Shut up Wayne," Jerry said to him. "Oh no, Jerry is a scared little girl we might as well call his mommy," Wayne said making fun of Jerry. "Wayne I'm going to kill you," Jerry said chasing Wayne all around the living room of the cabin. "Jerry come and get me," Wayne said. "Stop!" An unknown female voice demanded. Both Wayne and Jerry had stopped. They turned to Bridget. "Jeez Bridget sorry we were just horsing around," Jerry said with a smerk on his face. "What are you talking about? I didn't tell you guys to stop," She said with such confusion. "Let me guess it was the ghost," Wayne said with a silly grin on his face. "Ghost?" Jerry said getting goosebumps. "Oh come on Jerry. You don't really believe that do you?" Bridget asked him. "Well if it wasn't you then who could it have been?" Jerry said. "Oh come on Jerry she's lying to you. It was her that told us to stop. She's just trying to sace you. Appearently it worked on you obviously." Wayne finished laughing. "Dude I can so kick your ass," Jerry said punching Wayne on the shoulder. "Guys I swear I didn't tell you guys to stop," She said reassuringly even though she felt goosebumps. Both of the guys had rolled their eyes at her. "Dude whatever. Come on let's have pizza, " Wayne said grabbing the pizza's out of her hands. "You do believe me don't you?" She asked the both of them. Jerry kissed Bridget's forehead. As he looked into her eyes he said. "You're so pretty," he held her hand and sat her down at the couch as he sat right next to her. "So where's the TV around here?" Jerry asked. "Hey stupid it's right in front of you." Wayne said to Jerry. Jerry looked around the room. "I don't see it." Jerry said. Wayne walked up to the entertainment center and had opened the front doors of the entertainment center. "Oh," Jerry reacted as if he really didn't know where the TV was. "So what do you guys want to do now?" Wayne asked both Jerry and Bridget. "Watch TV. Why didn't you turn it on?" Jerry asked getting pissed off. "I did. I think it's broken or something," Wayne said eating his pizza. "All there is to do is eat pizza and stare at each other," Jerry said sarcastically. "Really?" Wayne asked grinning at Jerry. "No. Can't you hear the sarcasim in my voice?" Jerry asked a rhetorical question. "You guys chill out. Besides I think the silence is defining, " Bridget said as she ate her pizza. "That's because your a girl. Girl's like peace." Jerry said giving Bridget a smile. Wayne was laughing in the background. "Hey," She said grinning with a slight of bit of laughter. "Hey babe we love you but I get edgy when I don't watch entertainment with my refreshments," "That's what you say about everything," Wayne said. "What are you talking about?" Jerry said getting huffy. "You know when you eat food you have to watch porn or sports," Wayne stated the truth. "Shut up Wayne," Jerry said scarfing down a slice of pizza. Silence had filled the room. The sound of a watch falling on the floor had interrupted the silence. All of them had nearly jumped out of their seats. "Looks to me I'm not the only one who's afraid." Jerry said with full confidence. "Shut up Jer," Wayne said feeling uneasy. " I don't feel like we are the only people in this cabin," Jerry said as he got interrupted. "Oh shut up Jerry. There is no ghost" Wayne yelled at Jerry. Both Bridget and Jerry had took a step back from Wayne. "Hey, I'm sorry man it's just, there is always an explanation for these things," Wayne reassured his friend. he walked over to Bridget and gave her a hug and a kiss. "You okay," He asked her. "Yes. You just scared me that's all, " She said feeling reassurred. "I guess we are all a little jumpy," Wayne said holding on to Bridget for a moment to make sure she was okay. "You're not kidding, " Bridget stated. The back sliding door had opened with Bridget Jerry, and Wayne hearing the sound of it. "Okay I heard that," Wayne said investigating the door. "Hey Bridget come here for a minute," Wayne said looking outside the back yard. She walked over to the sliding door. "Is that canoe your  Uncle Larry's?" He asked her. "Uhh... Yea of course it is. I just don't understand," She said feeling uneasy. "What's the matter sweatheart?" He asked giving her a hug. For a moment she didn't say anything. "It's just considering that's the only canoe my uncle ever had I remember," She stopped herself. "What is it?" "Well it's never out here. This canoe is supposed to be in the old celler at my Uncle's house which is a good ten minutes from here, " She finished. "Then what is it doing in the back yard?"  Wayne asked puzzled. "Maybe someone used it ever think of that?" Jerry said seriously. "Well that can't be considering it's my Uncle Larry's and he passed away two years ago. No one in my family has ever used it because no one knows how to go boating." "How is it that he's the only one that knows how to go boating?" Jerry asked her in a serious way. "I never seen you so serious Jerry," Bridget said focusing on Jerry trying to figure him out. "Why aren't you answering my question?" He asked. "Uncle Larry grew up in the country. At the age of 12 he got adopted into my family who has been living in New York until he was 20. Then he moved back here to Georgia where he originally grew up." She finished her story. "Wait let me get this straight," Jerry started. "You are saying that everybody in your family except your Uncle Larry are city people? Including you," Jerry said realizing how little he knew Bridget. "Yes I'm originally from Los Angeles, California. But, I grew up in New York, New York," she said telling a little bit of her history. "City slicker," Wayne said smerking. "Yea, I get it I ain't no country girl." she said rolling her eyes laughing silently to herself. "You can bet your boots on that little lady. Oh wait you can't you have high heels on. Ha ha," Wayne teased. "Do you guys want to go boating?" She asked the two of them. "Sure. Maybe we can teach you how to go boating." Jerry said laughing from behind her. "Very funny," Bridget said flicking Jerry in the back of the head. Bridget's a city girl Bridget's a city girl." Jerry teased Bridget. "Hey Jerry help me with this canoe," Wayne said picking up the front end of the canoe. "Sure thing," Jerry said picking up the back end of the canoe. Both Jerry and Wayne had pushed the canoe alongside the lake. "Okay Bridget let me give you a hand," Wayne said helping Bridget into the canoe. With Bridget in the canoe Jerry and Wayned pushed the canoe out into the water. "Dude go grab the oars," Wayne said to Jerry as he was holding on to the canoe. "What's an oar?" Jerry asked. "Dude, you have to be kidding me," Wayne said as he was still holding on to the canoe. "Hey Wayne what are these things?" Bridget asked as she held up the oars. "Oh never mind Jerry just get in the canoe," Wayne said as he was holding on tight. Jerry literally had jumped into the canoe making the canoe rattle back and forth. Water had splashed on Wayne and got his clothes all wet. Wayne looked up at Jerry and gave him a pissed off look. Bridget laughed histarically. "I swear you guys crack me up. It's like watching Gilligan's Island." She said to both Jerry and Wayne. "Hey shipmate," Jerry said laying across the canoe. "Right back at you shipmate. Or should I say Gilligan," Wayne said to Jerry. "Why me Gilligan?" Jerry asked. "Why not you Gilligan? You always mess up like Gilligan," "That make's you professor," Jerry saluted Wayne still laying across the canoe. "Professor? No, no, you call me skipper," "Why?" "Because I own you man. Now sit up and make room." "Why?" Bridget happens to be laughing in the background. "Because unlike you I actually know how to steer the boat," Wayne said as Jerry sat up. Wayne sat in the canoe, grabbed the oars, and started steering the boat. All three of them were already in the middle of the lake. "Hey this is fun," Bridget said feeling the wind flow through her wavy blonde hair. "Wee," Jerry said pleasantly. Both Bridget and Wayne cracked up laughing. "Hey what's that out yonder?" Jerry asked pointing. He pointed at the other side of the lake. It looked like a mysterious part of the woods. Wayne had steered the canoe into the woods. "Wow!" All of them expressed feeling shaken. When they got inside the woods they realized that their was a creepy house at the end of the lake. Bridget was terrified. Jerry was shivering with fear. Wayne was a little shackin up but at the same time he was intrigued by the house. "Can we please go back?" Both Jerry and Bridget said in unison shackin with total fear. Without listening to Bridget nor, Jerry, Wayne had steered the canoe straight on to the house. "This is so scary," Jerry said gritting his teeth. "Oh come on Jerry quit being such afraidy cat," "What are you talking about I'm not afraidy cat," Jerry lied. "You just said this is so scary," Wayne stated. "That wasn't me that was Bridget," Jerry lied again. "Whatever man" Wayne said as he parked the canoe alongside the sand. He helped Bridget out of the canoe as Jerry was still scared as hell to get out. "Oh come Jerry. Do you need me to hold your hand?" Wayne made fun of Jerry. "No," Jerry said getting out of the canoe. "Come on let's go explore." Wayne said to both Bridget and Jerry as Wayne was holding Bridget's hand. "Wow," Jerry barely expressed. "What?" Wayne asked standing right next to Jerry wondering what Jerry meant by wow. Jerry's eyes bugged out and pointed at the stairs. "It's just stairs," Wayne said rolling his eyes at Jerry. "You know Jerry sometimes I can't seem to figure you out," Bridget said making Wayne laugh. "Okay me and Bridget are going to go in. Jerry you can stay out here in the scary woods." Wayne told him. As Bridget  and Wayne walked up the stairs, Jerry stayed behind. Jerry had twittled his thumbs as he started getting scared. "Hey guys wait up," Jerry said as he practically ran up the stairs. "I knew he couldn't be alone by himself," Wayne said to Bridget. "Shut up, Wayne," Jerry said as he led on the way. Jerry was one step from the welcome mat when he fell through the floorboards. "Jerry!" Bridget said worried. She was about to run to see if Jerry was alright when Wayne held her back. "Wait you stay here I'll go see if he is alright," Wayne expressed to her worried if the samething would happen to her. "Hey Jer you alright?" Wayne called out. No answer. Wayne walked up carefully to the broken floorboards to see what happened to Wayne. "Oh my bad. Jerry can you hear me?" Wayne said as he saw Jerry lying flat on his stomach. "Bridget get back to the canoe I'm going to have to get Jerry," Wayne said. "Is he okay?" She asked. "He doesn't look so good," Wayne said. Bridget ran down the stairs and ran all the way to the canoe. "Come on, come on, Yes!" She expressed. She found a first aid kit and ran back up the stairs. She ended up falling on the floorboards herself. "BRIDGET!" Wayne cried out for her. Wayne rushed to save her. He started to hear some whaleing within the wind. Wayne poked his head up and saw that Jerry was fine. "Dude are you okay?" Wayne asked Jerry. "Dude, I'm fine, don't worry. The sand broke my fall. Apparently i was able to climb myself back up. I heard you cry out Bridget's name. So i wanted to know what's going on," Jerry finished. "She fell though the floorboards," Wayne expressed feeling overwhelmed for his friend's safety. Without Wayne and Jerry seeing Bridget she was able to pull herself up and climb her way back on the top. Wayne and Jerry all of a sudden had heard a footstep that wasn't theirs. They both instantly got freaked out. "Dude, what was.. Bridget," Jerry said excited to see his friend. Wayne came up to her and gave her a big hug. "Sweetheart are you alright?" Wayne asked her. "Are you kidding I'm fine. Heck I wish i can do that again." She said. Wayne was confused and worried for her. "Let me guess the sand broke your fall?" Jerry asked her. "Yes," Bridget said with a smile. "Hey wait a minute what's that sound?" Wayne asked. It sounded like a snap. All of a sudden the entire front porch had broken down and Jerry, Wayne and Bridget fell right into the sand. A moment later the sound of thunder came clashing down. A storm hit. "Look," Bridget pointed to the canoe. The canoe was already in the river. "Well that's just great now how are going to get back?" Bridget said feeling scared. "Well, i can say this. It's all Wayne's falt." Jerry stated. "Okay, okay. I guess this is one time I messed up," "You can bet your boots on that Gilligan," Jerry said to Wayne. Wayne saluted Jerry "Okay skipper what do we do now," Wayne said being a good sport about making a mistake. "Come on you guys this is serious. How are we going to get home? Besides it's really dark out and I am cold and hungry," Bridget said feeling goosebumps go up and down her arms. "I have a suggestion but you are not going to like it," Jerry said to his friends. "Let me guess. You think it will be safer in the old beated up house. Right?" Bridget assumed. "Do you have a better suggestion Bridget?" Wayne asked her siding with Jerry. "Come on," Wayne said holding on to Bridget close to him as they all walked up to the front door. "It's too highup. I can't reach the door," Wayne said hoping for another way in. "Hey look the storm is letting up," Jerry noticed. "Looks like our luck is changing." Wayne said as he was looking for another way in. "If only we were that luck," Bridget stated. "Well you got a point," Jerry said to her as all three of them found themselves to the back door. "It's locked," Bridget said as she was figuring out a way to break down the door. "Great! How are we going to get in now?" Jerry said feeling frustrated. "Wait. Look over there. An axe,"Bridget pointed. Wayne turned around and spotted it. "I'll get it," Bridget said as she was going to proceed to get it. "Wait a minute Bridget let me do it," Wayne said as want to grab the axe. "Okay guys move out the way," Wayne said as Jerry and Bridget had stepped aside. Wyane went on wacking the axe to the door. "Okay that should be about it," Wayne said when he finished. "Gulp, umm... Ladies first," Jerry said with a half a grin, trying not to fear. "Jerry without having to make fun of you. I will hold your hand," Bridget honestly said. They both went in first. "Wayne are you coming?" Jerry asked. Wayne had stood as a zombie. All of a sudden Wayne's eyes grew red and his voice changed into a deep sinister voice. "Beware of the dark wrath," Wayne said in a disembodied voice. Thunder had rolled in. Jerry and Bridget were frozen in fear. The back door flew closed. "Wait," Jerry said trying to open the door from the inside. Jerry kept jiggling the door handle until the door knob fell into Jerry's hand. He looked up out the window and saw that Wayne was gone. "Hey where did Wayne go?" Jerry asked feeling flustered. "Wayne's not here anymore," A dark deep sinister disembodied voice had said. Jerry turned around and saw Wayne and Bridget standing with many sinister spirits with red eyes glowing bright red. "Ahhh," Jerry screamed trying to break down the door. After ramming his entire body on the door three times he eventually broke the door down. "No leaves alive." The sinister dioboloical spirits ran after Jerry. Jerry sprinted towards the lake not realizing where he was going. Jerry dived in the lake and started swimming. Crocodile's had swarm around Jerry. Jerry, died instantly. Immediately after that Bridget and Wayne snapped back into reality. "Oh my God Jerry!" Bridget screamed in fear. the many dioboloical spirits were surrounding Wayne and Bridget. "Well, I guess this is the end." Bridget said holding into Wayne tight.
