My emotions threaten my existence, now,
For in my sleep I thrash and tear,
I scratch at something that isn’t there.
And in my wake, I stay the same,
Still stuck in the depths of those unforgotten dreams.
I’m getting closer, now,
To crashing, my reality is at its brim,
On its edge I cling, my hands are slipping,
What waits below, I could not possibly know.
I’m losing grip, now,
Clutching and gasping, cursing and clasping.
This numbness seems inevitable,
I’ll be consumed before I hit the ground,
Rescue seems a far away chance, in a far away town.
I’m on my last finger, now,
My strength can only hold so long.
I cry for some assistance, but the people above me,
Just stand and stare; I don’t think they care.
I’m falling, now,
My desperation has been forgotten,
Shrieks ringing in my ears eventually fade,
And the cold in the air has now tamed.
The sky has never seemed so blue, the clouds so plump,
The water in my eyes has run dry,
And in my sight, all is white,
All is warm, soundless and clear,
As I die.

My emotions threaten my existence, now,
For in my sleep I thrash and tear,
I scratch at something that isn't there.
And in my wake, I stay the same,
Still stuck in the depths of those unforgotten dreams.
I'm getting closer, now,
To crashing, my reality is at its brim,
On its edge I cling, my hands are slipping,
What waits below, I could not possibly know.
I'm losing grip, now,
Clutching and gasping, cursing and clasping.
This numbness seems inevitable,
I'll be consumed before I hit the ground,
Rescue seems a far away chance, in a far away town.
I'm on my last finger, now,
My strength can only hold so long.
I cry for some assistance, but the people above me,
Just stand and stare; I don't think they care.
I'm falling, now,
My desperation has been forgotten,
Shrieks ringing in my ears eventually fade,
And the cold in the air has now tamed.
The sky has never seemed so blue, the clouds so plump,
The water in my eyes has run dry,
And in my sight, all is white,
All is warm, soundless and clear,
As I die.
