A mother driven to despair!

I clenched you to my breast, provided love and life

but  now I fear your loathe for me wounds me like a knife

Once Innocent gazes of sheer guiltless delight

descended into brutes, you haunt me with fright

I strived to be ideal, confront the daily  battle

Little did i know,my cage that you would rattle

A committed matriarch, verily tried my best

So malevolent you became, when released from the nest
