There is a time when we human’s have that private moment to ourselves. That moment where it’s just you and your intuition, we set down and so many emotions are running through the heart, and so many thoughts are processing in our heads. When we are all alone where no one is watching that’s when who we really are takes over. We act silly and we will think of goofy thoughts, and sometimes we will think of something crazy, something that we would never share with the outside world. It is a profound feeling to have that moment to express who you really are, and it gives you that feeling of total freedom. So many times we say those words, or hear it from others “be yourself”, but the truth is no one is really being who they truly are. We go on and put on this mask in public, with friends, and even family. That mask we create is part of who we are, and part of a reflection of what is expected of us. When we are with an elderly family member such as a grand parent we put on a mask of what will satisfy him a mask of how we are expected to behave. When we are with friends we repeat the same thing only now we are wearing a different mask or persona that will best make us likeable. We would fake how we feel, and fake what we really think depending of who is surrounding us. Even with the best friend you can have you will sometimes catch yourself holding a thought, and not expressing it to them because they are is always a limit to what you can express. It is so hard to revile to others how animalistic we can be, how goofy we can act, and how beautiful and caring that heart of ours can be. When you come down to it, no one in this world will ever get to know another’s person true identity because who we are is not shown fully in the actions we take, those actions are always changing, so I ask myself how can I make a judgment about another human being, when I am the only one that I understand? Even who I am changes as life goes on we keep on modifying ourselves and we are never the same inside. Even our emotions have a different taste to different times and places. When you think back to another place that you have been in you will feel a different tone of emotions that you felt at that place, or when you think back to a certain time you will experience and remember the tone of emotion you felt at that time. What I am trying to express is that though we all go on different paths in life, we all similar in a way and that to me is beautiful because it makes all have something in common.
