The monster comes to see me

A monster comes to see me late everynight

But I do not feel scared

Just tired

So tired

He threatens to leave me sometimes and never to return

I feel that if he were to go my heart would not be able to bear the loneliness

And so I beg him to stay

Even though I know deep down that he will never leave

He will always be here

After life

And after death

I ask my monster questions sometimes about what it all means

I never like the answers

I asked him what it would feel like once

He said that it would be like falling asleep

Only quicker and then everlasting

I quite like the sound of that, don't you?
