A poem about my last relationship and how it ended.
Dedicated with love to D, my sweetheart.
When you become enough of a man to stop caring what your parents(or anybody else) think, call me. You #$@^#@ and #%$&!* and $&@!%^!!! I deserve better than you, you &*%^$.
I love you.
Good to let the anger out.
A random-like free-style poem.

We stroll down a sidewalk

The pavement is cracked

Not even a break of green meets the eye

There's no romance here

Only the clouded gray of a city skyline

The industrialized glare of street lights and the

glass buildings and spotlights of

Store shops and entertainment centers

Business men walk briskly down the avenue

People bump shoulders and hold curses

No one looks at each other

Not even us

I note the distance between us

We walked closer before, hadn't we?

We started side-by-side at this avenue, hadn't we?

The gap had spread as we walked along

Both oblivious to the growing space

With the rush of noise around us

But your heart is cold when I mention this

Your eyes look down to the cracked sidewalk

But your heart is wax when I mention this

Your brow furrows and your lips frown

Who knew that we were going to drown?

In love and stuck by circumstance

Who said that this could ever be?

Your eyes are shades of melted green

My skin is dark and ebony

Expose the bliss of our first kiss

The night that carried us away

The storms and rays of those first days

I walked with you through all of it

We stop along the avenue

Isolated in this spot of mine

Your lips meet mine for one last time

Right there along the avenue

You look at me

Your eyes are sad

My heart is hurt

Your parents glad

We walked closer before, hadn't we?

We started side-by-side at this avenue, hadn't we?

You walk away for the last time

You left me on the avenue

My eyes are a mist from that last kiss

I knew somehow it was the end.
