Written for school.

Terror gripped me. I was dangling off the top of the mountain by one hand. My rope was barely hanging onto that last thread. The old harness gripped me tightly, allowing minimal movement. The rusty metal clips were groaning with my weight. My sweat poured down my creased forehead. Some got into my mouth and left a lingering salty taste. My hand was losing grip on the rough rocky surface. My eyes darted down and I saw the sharp, jagged  rocks. My heart raced when I realized that I could be fated to meet my demise lying in a bloody mess, speared upon those large stones. The smell of my sweat was becoming overwhelming. My vision was blurry with the amount to water pouring down my face. My clothes clung to my body. My heart rate went up when my pinkey slipped off. The rest of my hand slipped and too soon, I was dangling in the air by a single thread. The thread snapped with a loud, audible sound. I was falling with my limbs flailing. I let out a tremendous scream.
