A door not yet opened

Words not yet said

I lay here hoping

for thoughts to leave my head

My tongue tied down

My heart beating fast

Reasons not yet found

to free myself at last.

A puzzle is my thoughts

A penny for yours

If I reveal these thoughts

for which I am not sure.

My heart feels for one

My mind reasons another

My sanity now gone

Caused by a certain other.

These feelings have me confused

My heart and mind know not what to choose

Looking for a sign,

this answer I must find.
