Jan and Fran, Last Nickel Last Dime.

Last Nickel Last Dime

Jan called Fran

college high school

sandbox duo include

the school of living and

strife friends for life

ran card up on trip

down Mexico way

Jan asked Fran

pay you back Wednesday

Jan Miss Holding Last Nickel

First Dime still in her personal

goldmine

No Fran replied

Are you Fran

Last blouse skirt

pantyhose best dress

lent to best friend Jan

Yes and no more

changed rearranged

finished final done

I hope you had your

fun

Fran had a plan

she married Timothy

O’Malley a hard working

mechanic from the valley

moved there too

Never saw Jan

not even at the wedding

again

happy to be free of

her Jan and herself

the old Me

Money favors sacrificing

her time to those like

Jan who laughed and looked

with scorn at her care

and helpful air

Now with great pain

and strain

a multi tax to the

brain

Jan will have to

take on the world

with detail focus and

payments made

Last Nickel First Dime

it’s payment time
