- Cloak Of Darkness -

Cloaked in darkness void of light, as day slips away I become alive during the night.

Surrounded by silence with no others to see, it's this special time that belongs just to me.

I venture out into the forest that's near to my home, it's the place I escape to be all alone.

On a path I travel that leads to a lake, on its shore is a boulder where I find refuge to take.

Walls of trees as my backdrop, over the water I see the reflection of stars dancing so free.

Its in this setting that peace I find, it sooths my spirit and frees the stress from my mind.

As the sun rises and the night turns to day, I can see my cloak of darkness fading away.

I retreat to my home as dark turns to light, waiting once more to be revived by the night.
