- Picture Of Love -

Her small arm reached out, in her hand do I see, she is holding a picture, she drew it for me!

The smile on her face, the gleam in her eyes, as she spoke out so proudly “Look daddy! for you! a surprise!”

In a voice filled with excitement, my face lit with glee, I take hold of this picture, I say “something for me!”

Her picture in front of me, I look at it and stare, she asks “do you like it! can you tell what is there?”

So patiently she stands there, with a spark in her eye, shestands there and waits, she awaits my reply.

It was filled with bright colors, circles and lines, yet exactly what was it I could not define.

I gave careful though as to what I would say, for I knew the importance to my daughter this day.

As I hung her picture near my desk (just above) I turned and said “ sweetheart! this is a picture of love”.

She hugged me and kissed me and then walked away, but her picture I hung will forever there stay.
