- The Prison Within me -

Buried within me, so distant, so far, feelings kept locked up and shielded by scars.
---
I couldn't let them go! What was inside me I feared, they stayed there kept dormant, hidden for years.
---
They begged, they pleaded, they yearned to be free, but stayed locked in this prison, this prison in me.
---
My prison was crowded, the pressure too much! I became lost in my torment, my spirit was crushed.
---
But wait!In the distance, a soft hand reached out, so loving, so caring, as it took hold of me, I felt so overwhelmed, who could this be?
---
A friend! A great poet! As I soon came to see, she came here to help me, to help me let my feelings go free.
---
As a light in the darkness, she showed me the way, she unlocked this prison, it was ME she set free.
---
Inspired by greatness, by friendship so dear, these feelings inside me I no longer fear.
