We were swept up in a moment of passion
Full of lust, a quest for satisfaction
Your arms felt safe from all of life’s harms

I did not think, I should've thought

My conscience kicks in all too late
Without that condom I've sealed my fate
But I think it'll all be ok, he's not that kind

Sure I've heard all the warnings, as I'm sure you have too
But you never think it could happen to you

I should've thought

Visions of our love dance through my head
Those fatal few moments I gave my life away

Why was I so stupid?
If only I'd thought

For you have since gone and I'll soon follow
Death for passion is the cost I swallow.
