I ain’t there yet

I used to sleep with that teddy bear
Wishing it was you that’s there
Now its in a box beneath my bed instead
With the rest of the stuff from you

All those emails, notes and texts you’ve written me
I’ve kept them all, not just one of each
I read them over and over again
Wishing you weren’t just my friend
But oh! All those notes you’ve written me,
I reread them all, wishing you still wanted me!

Everyday I’m around you
It’s getting easier to get over you
Everyday, I’m getting closer to closure
Your glad to hear that I bet
But hunny, I aint there just yet

I used to kiss you before class
Left in the halls, we were usually last
But now when the warning bell rings
I leave for class, missing something

All those words you said to me
Did you mean them all, just like me?
I think about them constantly
Wishing you’d still want me
But oh! All those words you said
I run through them all over again!

Everyday I’m around you
It’s getting easier to get over you
Everyday, I’m getting closer to closure
Your glad to hear that I bet
But hunny, I aint there just yet

Yea, right now it’s hard for me
But I’ll be fine eventually
Unless one day you change your mind
And want me back!

Everyday I’m around you,
It’s getting easier and easier to do
Everyday, I’m getting closer to closure
But hunny, don’t get too anxious
Cause I’m not there yet.
