I don't remember much about you
The only clear thing in my mind
Is your silver necklace
The necklace went to just below your collarbone
It wasn't anything unique or flamboyant
It was just a delicate silver necklace
When you straddled and kissed me
I was mesmerized by that silver necklace
Swinging to and fro
As we had sex I remember that your breasts
Were just big enough to be more than a handful
Your butt was the best for groping
When we finished and after I took a shower
I came back to find you asleep
And as I lay down beside you I watched that silver delicate necklace rise and fall
Until sleep pulled me under
In the morning you were gone
The only trace of you was the faint scent of fruity shampoo
But I am used to waking alone
I want to say I'm not bothered by your absence
Yet…
I am
It's tormenting me that I cannot remember anything about you
Upon wandering into the bathroom
And seeing myself in the mirror
I could only gape at my image
For while I had been sleeping you had cinched your necklace around my neck
Taking the necklace off
I notice there is but a single adornment on it
A pendant
It somehow got pushed back by the clasp
So I had not noticed it beforehand
On one side in elegant writing are the words:
Song or Suicide?
Turning it over I see it is your name
It is a simple but beautiful name
Your name is
