"Do you feel like a man
When you push her around?" Belladonna sang along softly as she organized the many CDs and records. The door chimed and by habit she said
"Welcome to Music Haven, I'm Belladonna." pushing her dark purple hair out of her face. Who she saw made her smile. The man who had just walked in was Ville. Belladonna knew his music taste fairly well since he came in here almost everyday. He had found the store about two weeks ago and seemed so happy to be here whenever he came. Today he was holding a folded piece of paper.
"You had a flyer for cleaning." Ville said unfolding the flyer and showing it to her. Belladonna only needed to glance at it to realize he wanted to hire her.
"Yeah when would you like me to start? I've got a half hour left here." she told him. Ville nodded
"I just need help for the day." he explained. Belladonna shrugged
"That's fine." she replied. The man nodded and happily occupied himself with looking and listening to the music. When she wasn't busy with a customer the woman watched Ville from the corner of her eye. He was a handsome tall skinny man. Every so often she saw the soft glimmer of earrings through his curtain of dark brown hair. She smiled so far he was the only man who could make earrings look masculine. Glancing at the clock she softly called out to Ville. "Closing up now." He nodded and followed her out, giving one last glance to the CDs.
"My home is only a ten minute walk from here." he told her. She nodded and the two set off on their walk in silence. But Belladonna didn't like silent so she asked him his opinion of Cradle of Filth. And so for the rest of the walk the two eagerly talked about music. It seemed to quickly did they arrive at his home. "I should warn you it's a bit of a shithole." he said unlocking the door and walking in. She followed after him and saw that indeed it was. Falling into her zone Belladonna set to cleaning. Ville put on a CD and then began to help.
Three hours later they had completely cleaned every room in his house from top to bottom. "Wow don't think I've seen my house so clean." Ville said clearly pleased at their hard work. Belladonna smiled unable to help it. "Since you helped me with cleaning my house let me buy you dinner." Ville suddenly offered.
"I was doing what you hired me to do, you don't need to give me dinner too." she said jokingly. Ville smiled laughter in his sage green eyes.
"May I ask you on a date then?" he asked. Belladonna gave him a look of shock but managed to nod. "I know the perfect place." he said. Letting Ville lead her the young woman couldn't help but get excited in her mind. She tried to tell herself Ville was just a man who was taking her on a date, but it was simply impossible. Ville was not like any other man. He was intriguing, clever, humorous, and oh so ravishing.
Ten minutes passed and Ville lead her towards a little hole in the wall restaurant. It seemed tiny on the outside but once inside Belladonna found it was quite cozy. Hanging from almost every available place were potted plants. Quite a few even hung from the ceiling giving the light a soft muted green color. The smell of greenery hung pleasantly in the air. Ville lead her to a booth that was close to a stereo where a good stack of around 50 CDs sat. A sign on the table told customers to play whatever CD they like.
"Do you like it here?" he asked clearly at home.
"It's wonderful." she said making him smile. When their waitress came they ordered their drinks and food.
"You new?" the punk dressed waitress asked to which Belladonna nodded.
"You get first pick then." she told her motioning to the stereo. Belladonna hesitated before going up and rifling through the CDs. The song that she picked made the other customers give hollers of approval. "Facedown" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus filled the cozy place. Ville and Belladonna talked almost non-stop till their food came. And even then they managed to talk between eating. Just as they were waiting for their check a song that Belladonna immediately recognized came on. It was "Sigillum Diaboli" by HIM. The same went for Ville because he smiled as he paid. Other couples jumped up at the sound of Ville's voice and began jamming along to the song. What was hilarious was that the waiters and waitress's even joined in, some of them having a choreographed dance. When Ville from the stereo sang
"I'm your christ and I want you." the waiters pulled rosary necklaces from inside their shirts and brandished them at the waitress's who pretended to fall under their sway. They did this a few more times before simply dancing to the music. Never one who could resist dancing Belladonna joined the crowd. The next song to come on was "The Ninth Circle" also by HIM.
At this change in tempo all the couples did a sort of slow dance. The young lady beckoned Ville who shook his head. She smiled
"Oh at least you could try." she sang to him holding her hand out. Ville gave an exaggerated sigh before letting Belladonna take hold of his hand.
"Let me just a bit closer." he softly sang in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her waist. The lady smiled and laced her fingers together behind his neck, indeed letting him closer. As the music began to fade Ville leaned down and kissed Belladonna sweetly and gently on the lips.
