The spirit fluttered across the surface of the shimmering water, and then flying up the weeping willow, he perched upon a branch.  Through the canopy, the moonbeams fell on his hair, bathing it in silver and crimson and blue.

From his pocket, he produced a long flute that glinted in the moonlight.  He put his lips to the mouthpiece and played a sweet melody.  The haunting notes floated over the glades and awoke the water lillies.

The flowers swarmed like fireflies towards the precious sound.  Bewitching and enchanting.  They saw him on the weeping willow, perched upon his branch, piper of the moon, hair bathed in silver and crimson and blue.
