You have taught me, mistress
The riddle of life
The rhythm of love.

How can I repay you?
As I only hold this sword,
As I only hold this sword,
Which now rests at your feet.

Countless poets will seek to gain your heart,
And though your lashes bat,
My scabbard only sheathes
Possibilities.

In the night I watched over your slumber,
In the twilight, I saw your face.
We have met before
In the open sky of a country
A nation in the throes of revolution.

And then, we danced.
