This is my "Lionheart" poem. :) (Lionheart, a member of Booksie made a challenge for Booksie members to write poems that are based on five, randomly chosen words)

My words were the following: gravel, old, cold, joker, infinity

Don’t dig that bed, that gravel bed
While I’m still alive!
Those stones will decorate my mound.
Those plants appear so fresh and proud
And cheerful on the desk.
One day you will plant them far above my head.
My hair is white, my skin is dry
Yet, I am still alive!
I’m weak and old, my heart is cold,
My soul no longer sees the world.
The past is past, my friends are dead
But I am still alive!
A pale-faced joker’s paradise
To make me smile and thus pretend
That everything is fine.
And look, how the sun shines
And mocks us with its false infinity!
Tomorrow is a cruel word
For one who aims to gain some time.
Bury those who want to die
And let me be alive!
