This is another poem written to a work of art, this time a painting. Mind you, I am a terrible, truly terrible painter. I usually paint only for fun, and only when I have too much free time. ;-)Anyway, this painting, originally titled Red and Yellow Flower, inspired me, and because I prepared it with lots of joy, I decided to write a short love poem to it. The poem rather belongs to nonsense poetry, and is mostly about how people can go silly when they are in love.

My flower was red and yellow
Red and yellow like the setting sun
“What kind of flower is that, dear?”
You asked and laughed and thought I was a fool
“I don’t know”, I said to you
As I was found by Cupid’s sharp arrow
“All I know it’s red and yellow,
Red and yellow like the setting sun”
