Black is all that is seen

One by one the blackness fades

A sparkle, a dazzle, a twinkle in the sky,

A small bright light appears on high

First appearing slowly, then appearing numerously

Little white lights, crowd the blackness

Joined are the little specks

By a big white sphere with gray dents in it

Looking down on small quivering blades

Swaying gently in the calming breeze

A darker green than usual, they remain

Cool and soft, unbroken and peaceful

The silence deafening until

In the soft wind a chirping sound comes

Little black specks jumping back and forth among the blades

Then the light show rises from the green.

One yellow spot flies up suddenly.

Millions soon float underneath the sparkling lights above.
