I wish that I could hide,
From sun and moon, and stars and sky,
I do not want to die,
In this war of love and lies.

I wish that I could run away,
Far, far from this place,
But I would stumble and fall,
For I am without grace.

I will be hunted like prey,
But I wish to see my home again,
I will flee, come with me,
To that peaceful land.

A ship is waiting in the dock,
We will be safe at last,
We can share our future,
And forget our past.

So come with me,
I can’t make it alone,
Come with me, my friend,
We’re going home.
