Her words painted a blank canvas of solicitude
Under white skies further lies were hidden
and I could never tell where the past ended nor a future be
Or if deception relinquished so truth could see
She said, "We're all going to die I do believe"
And I knew she was right. Already dead t'was me
She wanted me to feel her apathy, but to care would be contradictory
So we swam those tepid waters deaf to a consciences
Was it life we avoided or the loss of our dream
A death resembling her lack of faith not only in life or love it seems
