Dispersion of Light by Prisms

Stars are indefinite moments passed.
You, crossed a boundary.
A deviation from the original path.

We stand, on non-parallel sides divided.
Altered red and violet.

My light bends to let in your colour,
that only I can see in all its optical density.
Distinguished from each other, a simple measure of tendency.

Slowing, we travel through,
transparency interacts,
impinging absorbed energy.

We vibrate.
We resonate,
a magnetic disturbance.
We bend, opposing our ends of the spectrum.

As we enter open face first,

total internal reflection.

Refraction emerges.

Creating our lines of dispersion.

As colour and light unite.

Knowing the currencies,

revealed in the value

of varying frequencies,

We stand together divided.

Altered ultra-red to violet.
