You whisper in your melodic rasp

Into buzzing microphones of dreaming

Telling tales to faces in your memory

Who never see your smile.

If I could send some radio wave into your brain

Would you think of it as a prayer?

Or would you group it with other fantasies

And forget my murmured sonnet…
