West Bengal, the North Eastern State of India is going through a paradox of electoral alliance for the sake of convenience in the forthcoming elections. The left parties of West Bengal have made a strange, quirky, treacherous alliance with the Congress. Both the Left Front and the Congress have sold their ideologies like Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. If they win, how will it determine the social, political and economic policies of the state? There’s a saying in the Bible: ‘Do not yoke your hands with an unbelievers.’ Politics in West Bengal is going through murky times and submerges itself in muddy waters. Why are the Left Front and the Congress so afraid to face the Trinamool Congress and the BJP? As Judas Iscariots the Left Front and the Congress are on the brink of ideological bankruptcy and are following the politics of betrayal for saving their own political skins. This strange electoral coalition can be made into an idiom as Judas Iscariot.
