The World Swings By.

The world swings by in leaps of gold yellow and auburn.
The whisky fields glow in the delicate haze of pre pubescent winter.
Calling forward the carrier pidgeons of a new Dawn a new era and a new year.
Once again it's an opportunity to feel simple.
To reflect.
To dream and to gaze.
Oh how the world swigs by me so fast.
No ifs no buts not prayers about why, who, what, when and where.
I believe in the future I keep telling myself as I question my very existence on an hourly basis.
Where be the old foes, dreamers and lusts of my life.
Successful fear not.
But happy? Happy?
I force myself into a lull of security before her. I worry about life. I feel sorrow and regret and failure.
Need not run I tell myself as the world swigs by once more.
Time.
The eternal optimisit once told me was always on my side.
I mocked him and revealed my Jaundiced eyes. Pessimist of new year he Shouted. And now I sit and watch. I listen but I do not digest.
For this feeling inside is more than emotion, rivalry and bitterness, this feeling inside is anger.
Hatred and solace.
I burn the candle bright and reminisce about the future.
How will it all end I keep asking myself in this dream of orange and red mist.
I'm sorry for my past. I regret my actions and lies.
Those lies that I built the foundations of friendship and love and trust and trust and hope and smiles and faith on.
All disappearing before my very blackened eyes.
I watch the world flash by me.
I question my very existence .
