Just weeks before California's special 2008 governor election, a Mexican terrorist strikes San Diego's Seaport Village, killing dozens. With the two leading candidates on opposite sides of the issue, the border patrol argument heats up to new levels.
Terminally shy biochemist, Paul Young, witnesses the attack. The reported story does match up with what he saw, and an odd statement by candidate Ben Buchanan leads Paul to believe Buchanan staged the attack in an effort to sway public opinion into securing the border.
Paul must overcome his shyness and his lack of self-confidence if he is discover the truth. With the help of an outgoing beautiful college student, Paul finds himself traversing the entire state in search of justice.
