Charlemagne resisted the effects of darkness as it clustered around his body. His own imagination presented him with a new enemy, one he had not expected.....himself. Chemicals flowed through his veins and he shuddered in fear at what may come next. The kind features in his face that resembled a hero turned into a shady reflection of what they had been. A small chuckle emerged from the hero’s stiff sternum, and the veins in his arms burned bright red. His body had taken control, and he no longer had reign of his thoughts. As far as Charlemagne could see, he was trapped in his own body. It was just a shell, the Antax held him hostage.
