The notion of the absurd is a common thought we have in our daily lives. Lets look deeper together.

Theater of The Absurd

By: Angel Acuna-Robinson

Welcome to the theater of the absurd.

Where the abstract is involuntary

for is perirates;

It breaths deeply, oxygenating the endless

paradox labeled human existence.

Down in this valley the dead at heart

beget love children that blow fickle

dandelion seeds in the sun-kissed summer sky.

Our cities teem with ravenous immortality

and those who indulge and drink

the white milk that pours red and rancid

are rewarded with the upstanding stature of the righteous.

Lush suburban gardens grow vibrant

exterior decor yet the beauteous bloom

reeks of decaying mulch.

In this realm nothing is as it seems.

Scorned lovers salivate at the next

whiff of heartache and our devoted monogamists

taste the forbidden fruit in their neighbor's orchards.

All of my efforts to abolish contrast have been abysmal.

I have came to terms with clause

of life's contract and have compacted

to swim in our consistent reconditioning.

So, I have given up on behaving abrupt.

I have joined the masses that vacation

in the deserts, adorn sweatshirts and

dive head first into the dunes.
