The day came

When I was thirteen

She came with a bang

The monster in me

She took the scars on my heart

And ripped them wide open

She took over my mind

And my soul as a token

The monster in me

Was more than a thought

SHe was big, she was strong

She was all that I want

I'm blinded by faith

In this horrible beast

She rules over my life

I'm forced to retreat

She's a drug that I had

Cocaine for my soul

An addiction to pain

My fight for control

My monster hates me

She'll kill me so quick

A thirteen year old girl

Falling for her tricks

Young and naive

Stupid, in need

of the hope that she gave me

A monster I'll heed

Her words ring as truth

In my heartbroken ears

Falling into my shadow

And drowning in tears

This monster is deadly

Beyond any you'll see

Survival is rare

And it's coming for me
