Pink is the new black.

And it makes you look tough—if you’re a guy.

Allison Stephens is like every other American sixteen-year old, but is also a distinguished person because of her silky, wavy brown locks, icy blue eyes which are contradicted by a rather fiery attitude, and a love for everything-math, though that didn’t stop her from getting into California’s hot list. Even back in grade school, boys suited her and flooded her locker with roses and chocolates—as if everyday had been declared as Valentine’s Day—and among her admirers was Josh Turner, known as the nerdy boy who liked her in second grade.

Allie was never the type to dislike anyone by looking them from head to foot, so she and Josh became friends easily. They weren’t close, but didn’t dislike each other either—they just talked to each other without all the awkwardness. After second grade, without anyone knowing the reason why, Josh left California to transfer to West Virginia.
But eight years later, when they were all sixteen and had had learned how to hook up properly and break hearts and have theirs broken, Josh returned, from nerdy kid to the guy who now stood side-by-side with Blaze Derek as the campus’ heartthrobs. Braces lost, eyeglass-free, Josh didn’t have a hard time in having all the girls in the school chase after him (along with Blaze, his best friend since elementary). Well, with his sleek, dark brown hair, sexy cheekbones, emerald green eyes and brooding lips, who wouldn’t?

Now this is a big change, and would not have really bothered Allison, but when she and Josh became lab partners in bio, class representatives and teammates in almost every class work in school, she gets disturbed—especially because Josh was giving her the cold shoulder, as if he never knew and liked anyone by the name Allison Stephens.

It was already all Allison could handle, but then, Blaze takes an interest on her. She gets calls and appointments with Blaze in between studying sessions with Josh. At first, Josh was cool with it, but it later on gets to him that Allison spends much more time on the phone with Blaze than on working on their chemistry research paper. Was it just plain irritation, or something way beyond that?

Pink is the new black.

And it makes you look tough—if you’re a guy.

Allison Stephens is a normal American sixteen-year-old who has a pretty fierce attitude, icy blue eyes and silky, black hair which always attracts guys like a flower would a bee. She does get a lot of those bees—but only a few win her heart, and among those who didn’t was Joshua Turner, also known as the nerdy boy who had a crush on Allison in second grade.

And also known as the nerdy boy who left the town and came back eight years later as the guy who now stood side-by-side with Blaze Derek in the campus’ heartthrobs list.

She gets calls and appointments with Blake in between studying sessions with Josh. At first, Josh was cool with it, but it later on gets to him that Allison spends much more time on the phone with Blaze than on working on their chemistry research paper. Was it just plain irritation, or something way beyond that?
