Stephanie ~

A 15 year old girl, she had long blonde hair and beautiful green eyes.

She didn’t have many friends, and didn’t really stand out in the class, she preferred to be in the background. She didn’t mind that she didn’t have a lot of friends, it happened to be that she had a very strong connection with her mother. It wasn’t like a regular mother – daughter relationship. Her mother was her best friend and they could tell each other everything. Stephanie  lived alone with her mother. She never knew her father, he died of a heart attack before she was born. Stephanie  never missed her father though, because she was so loved by her mother. No Stephanie  was happy with her life and nothing could ruin her happiness.  Until that one Tuesday..  Stephanie  came home from school and knew that her mother wasn’t  home, she often suffered from really bad coughing, sometimes she even coughed up blood. Stephanie’s mother took a few test and today she would get the results. She had convinced Stephanie  she would be fine so that’s why Stephanie didn’t worry about it. When her mother eventually came home Stephanie already prepared dinner so her mother could eat right away. Stephanie’s mother came in and Stephanie immediately saw something’s wrong, her eyes were swollen from crying. Her mother looked at her and directly told her, it hit like thunder in a clear sky.  “ Stephanie.. I have cancer “ she said. Stephanie  would always remember the way her mother said it, with so much fear in her eyes for what was about to come. Since that day things only got worse with Stephanie’s mom, she had a lot of chemical therapy’s, and she looked sicker and sicker every day. When she was halfway done with the chemical therapy’s, she called Stephanie to her room one night, the connection between Stephanie  and her mother had grown stronger and nobody could come in between them. Stephanie  came into her mother’s room and sat on the bed. She looked at Stephanie with tears in her eyes and said; “ Stephanie.. honey, I want you to know this, I’ll always love you no matter what happens and I’ll always be here for you, if you ever have troubles or problems you can come to me “.  Stephanie cried and fell in her mother’s arms “ Mom I love you too! I love you so much and I don’t want you to die!”. Those words broke her mother’s heart, and they’ve been crying in each other’s arms for the rest of the night. Since that night Stephanie’s mom got worse and even reached a critical state, the therapy wasn’t effective and after a few months it appeared to be the cancer had spread. The days Stephanie’s mom felt good we’re like present, so they absolutely made sure to have a fun day. They enjoyed every nice moment and made them last as long as possible because they both knew there wasn’t much time left. The night Stephanie’s mom passed away they had really nice conversations. Stephanie  was going to live with her grandmother and grandfather after her mom’s death. Stephanie’s mother lived for a year since the day the cancer was confirmed. She passed away in the arms of her daughter, who loved her very much.
