" YOUNGLOVE"

The sun sets in the distance

displaying skies of orange and gold

He takes her hand so shyly

as she offers it to hold

~*~

Their love so strong so uncertain

forbidden they were told

So they ran away in anger

somewhere in the cold

~*~

They vowed upon a shooting star

as he held her tight

To always love each other

embracing dark of night

~*~

As the hours passed so quickly

and they had nowhere to hide

They were scared and much too young

so they swallowed all their pride

~*~

They pushed their feelings to the side

It was so cold they couldn't stand

He couldn't give her what she needs

as they walked back hand in hand

~*~
