A MOTHERS DAY WISH
I sit at the window, my tears take their place.
In my permenant scars, upon a worrisome face.
My eyes no longer shine, my tears washed It away.
As when you were a child, so happy so gay.
Does the Lord listen, when I pray for you.
Hoping and wishing, for my dream to come true.
It's Mothers Day, every single day of the year.
My prodical son, why are you not here.
I want to hold you, like I did years ago.
Before the streets found you, before I became old.
By chance I may see you, but Its been a while.
Passing by un-noticed, as you watch in denial.
The streets are your home, their your family now.
But I am your mother, I must find you somehow.
I have but one hope, all my faith, and a prayer.
That you will be safe, where-ever out there.
If you happen by, look through the window, you'll see.
A worried old woman, your mother, Its me.
It Is'nt far from the street, just a few steps away.
A wish can be answered, this Mothers Day.
