A WITHERED ROSE

Poem by: angellynn

Summary

A rose that once stood proudly, was plucked and thrown away. She lost her will to bloom again, lying in her thorny grave.

A WITHERED ROSE

A rose that once stood proudly

was plucked and thrown away

She lost her will to bloom again

lying in her thorny grave

~~~
But her death has not been wasted
her seeded tears find fertile ground
This love affair is blooming
forever they are bound
~~~

Through the thorns she rises

and once again she grows

a brand new life awakens

and mourns a withered rose

~~~
