BENEATHTHECRACKS

You held my heart in the palm of your hand

but how much more can this broken girl stand

Cant you see what your loves done to me

beneath the cracks a soul longs to be free

*

Barren and tearless whats left to quench

a loveless face that tears long to drench

A heart that once beat now is idle and blue

abused and forgotten by a promise untrue

*

Into the emptiness my blue eyes stare

my lips utter the words you didn't care

I'm dying inside without you to hold

you left me to wither bitter and cold

*

Beneath the cracks beyond my tears

a lonely heart still beats hoping he hears

With my last breath my last words will be

tell me the truth did you ever love me

*
