Immortal Grief

She weeps amongst the cobble stone,

mourning her mortal life alone.

A moment of desire with him she gave,

has brought her to her empty grave.

Midnight veils upon her tomb,

as her hunger grows, her thirst consumes.

She must answer toits demand,

as pain throbs through her every gland.

She must except immortal life,

and become his eternal wife.

As her crimson tears flow in streams,

upon her stone of shattered dreams.

Within her grave, a red fern grows,

from a lost immortal soul.

She has turned, and now must leave,

this sacred place,from mortal grief.
