The Pumpkin Queen

In a cemetary on Willow Lane

lives the Pumpkin Queen,

her ugliness is hidden by her magic

and she can be quite mean.

Every year on Halloween

she leaves her tomb of death,

in search of trick or treaters

to steal their precious breath.

On her altar lined in a row

with jack-o-lanterns of other children

Whose brains she's consumed to keep her youth

to hide her evil sin.

she spys a sweet angel all alone

a little girl to her delight,

then lures her with her beauty

hiding a sinister fright.

The little girl thinks she's an angel

and follows her to  her demise,

then screams out in a rage of fear,

at the Pumpkin Queens surprise.

She drags her to her tomb of death

takes her brains and severs her head

then craves it into a jack-o-lantern

then paints it orange and red.

The little girl has joined the rest

another beautiful jack-o-lantern,

lighting Halloween another year

until it's someone elses turn.
