It was more than once
When I felt like I would never get another chance
When I felt like every thing would leave me behind
When I felt scared and needed a place to hide
When I wanted to run away from my problems
When everything around me dims
At al these times I had nothing else to do
But sit quietly and listen to the rain
It was then when I heard it call my name
And there came a silent whisper
"Go look out side the window," The rain said
"There is so much hope left for you"
"So please get of your bed,"
"Let the light reach your heart"
"Let it in your room"
"Let it every where, open your window."
I listened to the sound and didn't say no
I got up, move my way through the room
I opened the window slowly
Light fill the room, the walls, and the corners, everywhere
For the first time I wasn't in a nightmare
I felt freedom I wanted to run
My legs moved out of control
Step by step I realized I was now out side
I watched the bee working with pride
Then I spotted a baby butterfly
It wanted to fly but she couldn't yet
She tried once and twice
But her hope she wouldn't let
She kept trying and never gave up
In the end she was up moving her way through the garden
Flying between the pretty colored flowers
I understood then what the rain meant
"There is so much hope left for you"
At this moment I quickly knew
That I should never give up
The doors that open with hope would never shut
Same with me, I'm going to hold my hope
AND NEVER LET GO!
