"Johnny you have to tell mom what's going on or I will." Hunter told me as he looked at my scars, "You got to stop doing this to yourself or else you'll end up dead and mom and the rest of us don't want you dead." Hunter had a point when he told me this. I had to stop this self destructive pattern. If I didn't I knew I'd end up dead and my sister would follow into my pattern. Maybe if I actually tell someone what's going on I can get help and not feel so afraid. Hunter was right I needed to tell someone what was going on.

*Earlier That Week*

I was walking down the hall just listening to my music as I grabbed my copy of AWAKENED from the House of Night series from my locker when I was slammed onto my back. Of course I was short for my age so I had to look up. The first thing that caught my eyes was the number on the jacket. Great, it was James the school's "bad boy" and quarterback of the football team. At that moment I knew I was in for a beating of my lifetime.

"Hey there worthless, kissed anymore guys yet?" James asked in a mocking tone.

"Leave me alone James I haven't done anything to you." I retaliated.

"I think not kiddo, I do think you need your daily beating." James said laughing as he punched me in the gut. I dropped my things and then dropped to my knees. The blows just kept coming until it was a complete struggle to get to my feet. Once I was able to get to my feet the entire football team was surrounding me. James was the biggest one so I took all the strength I had and pushed him back when he came at me like a raging bull.

"How about you stop torturing me?" I asked as I decided to grab my things and take off running. They didn't follow me but I didn't stop running I ran past my house and into the forest. I know my stopped me and started to run after me until she saw where I was going. Once I found the biggest oak tree I stopped and sat under it and I blacked out within an hour. Next thing I knew I was being picked up and moved.

*Several Hours Later*

"Ugh, where am I?" I asked tiredly, "Serena?, Hunter?, Mom?, Mitch?, You guys here?" All I got was dead silence, literally. I got off the bed or couch whichever I was on and felt my pockets for my phone. Great, my phone's gone and I don't know where I am. I walked around the house until I came across the only open bedroom door in the house and I knocked lightly on the opened door. When I looked into the room I saw Hunter reading through my online messages.

"Come on in Johnny." Hunter said still having his eyes locked on my laptop.

I walked into his room and sat next to him on the floor. He turned off my laptop shutting the lid and set it down behind him on his pillows. I just sat there looking around the room until he grabbed my laptop again and gave it back to me. I gladly took it and looked down at the casing around the lid he had laid on it to make it look better. All I did was glance over the design printed onto the casing and set it down on Hunter's desk.

*The Day Hunter Lectures Me*

"So are you going to tell mom?" Hunter asked.

"Yeah I'm going to tell her." I replied.
