The piano has been drinking, I swear it has not been me,
The piano now beyond drunk, it can't play this song correctly.
Its three o clock in the morning, please give it a deserving break,
Its not really its fault, theres only so much it can really take.

So someones been and gone earlier, wreaked my whole routine,
My piano's in a state, the notes it played perfectly is now rather obscene.
Its drinking more and more, and the noises are getting worst,
Everyone suffers from pain, but for my piano this is the first.

Another bottle has just gone, now my piano is falling asleep,
The legs have buckled for tonight, now its on the floor in a heap.
The sun is slowly rising, those miserable hours are now long gone,
Unfortunately, it must play again and again, the same old song.

The piano has been drinking, I swear it has not been me
(But I will own up, I gave it the bottles and helped to a certain degree)
