A poem I wrote for my ex once because love hurts. That's for sure.

You asked me for my forgiveness

Okay I forgive you.

You asked if we could still be friends,

Okay, I don't need any enemies.

You asked if we could still be lovers,

I didn't give you a response.

Who do you think I am?

I can't play freely with my heart,
not like you can.

I can only love when I love I have no control,
not like you do.

So you said you were sorry,
Okay, I can live with that.

You asked for my forgiveness,
Okay, I forgave you.

But, don't think you'll ever touch me again,

I might fall in love with you and have no control
and I can't do that not like you can.
