Quicksand

Innocent in appearance

Deadly in character

Starving for a meal

Of an unaware traveler.

Its grace is inviting

Its color seems to call

Fluidity funs wild

Smelling sweet and warm

Quicksand sings to lure

Traveler listens and follows

This death trap made pretty

The earthsoup pulls Traveler in.

The thickness surrounds

Traveler struggling

Sinking deeper and deeper

Quicksand sings him a love song

To soothe Her victim

Traveler ceases to listen

Quicksand engulfs him with

Warm velvet arms

She desires a dance

Traveler tells her not yet

And she tells him, he’s ready

She serenades him musically

She massages his body

He stops struggling to listen and feel

A successful serenade

She dances with his being

Holding him tightly

She holds his hand

She kisses his lips

Strokes his hair

Swallows him whole.

She is always hungry for a dance or two

But never she is lonely

Travelers can’t ever resist

The power of Her serenade.
