My eyes open to the shock

Of paper slamming on the table

A disappointed voice enters my head

And begins to turn my stomach

I look down, unable to speak

Shame crosses my face

I know I have failed my father

Just as the boy who cried wolf

Ended up dead

At first an excuse enters my lips

But I immediately brush it off with an apology

I am at his mercy

I want to earn his trust again

But how... Remains my own mystery
