JUST ANOTHER DAY

I was walking along the beach,
thinking about my social clout.
I was listening to the waves,
wondering wat my life was about.

A small kid passed me by,
running and playing with the sand.
His father not far behind,
trying to hold his hand.

He didn't seem worried,
not the least about the world.
All he seemed to think about,
was about a stone he had just hurled.

He made me think,
think about being free.
Free from all the thoughts,
and all the worries i was carrying in me.

Seemed like everyday was his day,
his every moment was worth a million rupee.
And all that he did,
was reminescent of a forgotten part of me.

It was then i realised,
that sumthin was absent.
Worrying about the ways of the world,
was how my days were being spent.

I wished i could break free of my shackled form,
wished i could live the life of a kid again.
I realised there were things i had to take care of,
but at least i could come to the beach again.
