Original description: As inspired by the novel 'Never Marry A Cowboy.'

Leave My Love Behind

I watch the sun rise o’er the sea

And feel its gentle kiss on me

But not its warmth I wish replace

Your gentle lips and vibrant face

For in this world where death may dwell

Into your lap my heaven fell

And on it I will sit for life

To know that I still breathe, alive

My darling, hold my life in yours

And look toward the distant shores

Remember this sweet lullaby

As you walk alone the night

For when I go and you must stay

Know that I leave my love today

It will grow on grassy morn

And chase your tears and endless scorn

You will remember love divine

The love and kisses left behind

Cherish them for little me

When God insists my spirit free

I wait that day, the morning come

When I leave you and there be none

To brush your tears from crying eye

Or write a song for you and I

For on that day we surely see

Those roses sigh for you and me

And heaven weeps for what is lost

And music sings for cherished thoughts

When darkness folds the daylight down

And my small soul is not around

Remember what I left behind

A love and memories divine

Hold them by your weary heart

And know that we shan’t be apart

But as for now these thoughts morose

I burry and keep always closed

Instead I crawl upon your seat

And cherish you, my savior sweet

Now fold your arms around me dear

And know eternity is here

In a minute full of love

As the orb climbs up above

The clouds and morning sky so blue

The breathing forms of me and you

Fold your arms around me tight

And promise never say goodbye

END

This one has a much more improved flow from the last of yours I read, to be quite honest it felt like a traditional celtic song. It was lovely to read. It would be nice to see some more recent work of yours. I would love to see the improvement you have made in 8 years.

Thank you very much for this comment! Not sure about the improvement, because I've been more focused on writing prose fiction in the past years, but I might try. XD Also sorry for the late reply, things got pretty busy here and I had to log out.
